13 May Matter Has Arrived
It’s official. Big tech companies and smart home tech pioneers have begun rolling out products that are integrated with the new smart home standard, Matter. This is going to change smart home tech connectivity in ways that’ll make smart home living significantly easier, quicker, and more seamless.
More specifically, the smart home products we see today, as well as products that will be released in the near future, will all be able to be operated from one hub. Meaning your devices from Amazon, Apple, Google, and other companies will all be controllable from one device that can communicate with every other brand’s devices. No more need for a separate hub for different brands devices.
Matter is the new standard that’s been created for the sake of decreasing the amount of different hubs and bridges needed to connect to devices. Eventually, these devices will have the Matter logo displayed much like the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi symbols you see on devices and their packaging today.
